In 1975 the Khmer Rouge took control over Cambodia. Pol Pot led the regime and orchestrated a genocide. He killed two-thirds of the country’s population. The victims were mostly doctors, lawyers, politicians, artists, monks, and others who were against his regime. Fortunately many survived the genocide. My cousin recalls his experience of the horrific event.
